Therefore remind! by thy Lord's blessing thou art not a soothsayer neither possessed. 29 Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?" 30 Say: 'Await! I shall be awaiting with you.' 31 Or do their intellects bid them do this? Or are they an insolent people? 32 What! They say, “He has invented the Qur'an”? Rather they do not have faith. 33 Then let them bring a discourse like it, if they speak truly. 34 Or were they created out of naught? Or are they the creators? 35 Or, did they create the heavens and the earth? No, their belief is not certain! 36 Or, are the treasures of your Lord in their keeping? Or, are they the controllers? 37 Have they a stairway whereby they overhear? Then let their listener bring an authority manifest. 38 Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons? 39 Or askest thou a hire from them so that they are with debt laden? 40 Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down? 41 Or do they desire a war? But those who disbelieve shall be the vanquished ones in war. 42 Is theirs a god beside Allah? Hallowed be Allah from that which they associate! 43 And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds. 44 Hence, leave them alone until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs, when they will be stricken with terror: 45 A day on which their scheming will not benefit them at all, nor will they be helped. 46 Surely there are other torments besides this for those who are wicked, though most of them do not know. 47 And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise. 48 And in the night-time also hymn His praise, and at the setting of the stars. 49
