The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)! 1 Arise and deliver thy warning! 2 And thy Lord do thou magnify! 3 cleanse your clothes, 4 And uncleanliness avoid 5 And bestow not favors that you may receive again with increase, 6 And persevere in the way of your Lord. 7 When the Horn is blown, 8 that day will be a harsh day, 9 It will not be easy for those who deny the truth. 10 Let Me alone with him whom I created lonely. 11 whom I have endowed with abundant riches, 12 and sons that stand in witness. 13 and for whom I have smoothed the way (to power and riches), 14 Yet he desires that I should give more. 15 Never will he receive more. He has been hostile to Our revelations. 16 I shall soon constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 Indeed he thought, and inwardly decided. 18 Perish he! How maliciously he devised! 19 Again, death seize him, how he determined! 20 He then dared to lift his gaze. 21 then he frowned, and scowled, 22 Then he turned back and was proud; 23 Then he said: "This is nothing but magic from that of old; 24 Naught is this but the word of Man. 25 I shall make him suffer the torment of hell. 26 And what can make you know what is Saqar? 27 It neither spares, nor releases, 28 and it burns the flesh. 29 Over it are nineteen (angels as guardians and keepers of Hell). 30 We have appointed only angels to be wardens of the Fire. We have specified their number only as a trial for those who are bent on denying the truth, so that those who were given the Book might gain in certainty, and those who believe might increase in faith -- and so that neither those who have been given the Scripture nor the believers might have any doubts, and that those sick at heart and those who deny the truth might ask, "What does God mean by this parable?" In this way, God lets go astray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. And none knows the forces of your Lord but He. This is but a Reminder for man. 31

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
