And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 the people of Pharaoh; will they not be godfearing?' 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 and my chest will become constricted and my tongue will not be loosed (in my speech), therefore, send to Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they will kill me. 14 Allah said: "By no means! proceed then, both of you, with Our Signs; We are with you, and will listen (to your call). 15 go both to Pharaoh and both of you say to him: 'We are (each) a Messenger from the Lord of all the Worlds. 16 Send the Israelites with us". 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 And you did (that) deed of yours which you did, and you are one of the ungrateful. 19 Said Moosa, “I did that at a time when I was unaware of the consequences.” (In anger – See verse 28:15) 20 So I ran away from you out of fear. But my Lord has given me wisdom, and made me an apostle. 21 Is this then the blessing with which you reproach me, that you have the Children of Israel for worshipers' 22 Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?" 23 [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced." 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 Moses said: "(He is) Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers of yore." 26 (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" 27 He said: The Lord of the east and the west and what is between them, if you understand. 28 Pharaoh said: "If you take any god other than me, I will certainly make you one of those (who are rotting) in prison." 29 (Moses) said: "Even if I showed you something clear (and) convincing?" 30 Pharaoh said, "Show it then, if you are telling the truth!" 31 Then he flung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, 32 Then he drew out his hand, and it was luminous to the onlookers. 33
