The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 (Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
