The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 161 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said, 'Truly I am a detester of what you do. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
