T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
