Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 They know what you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
