The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 Those are the heirs 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
