۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Fir'awn sent unto the cities callers: 53 'Behold, these are a small troop, 54 “And indeed they have angered all of us.” 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 So We made them leave their gardens and springs, 57 And treasures and honorable station - 58 Thus (were those things taken from them) and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 When the two groups came close to each other, the companions of Moses said, "We will be caught". 61 Said he, 'No indeed; surely my Lord is with me; He will guide me.' 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 We delivered Moses and all who were with him; 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 67 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
