The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
