O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him]. 102 And hold fast, all together, unto the bond with God, and do not draw apart from one another. And remember the blessings which God has bestowed upon you: how, when you were enemies, He brought your hearts together, so that through His blessing you became brethren; and [how, when] you were on the brink of a fiery abyss, He saved you from it. In this way God makes clear His messages unto you, so that you might find guidance, 103 Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islam), enjoining Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (polytheism and disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden). And it is they who are the successful. 104 Do not be like those who, after they had been given clear evidence, split into factions and differed among themselves: a terrible punishment awaits such people. 105 on the Day [of Judgment] when some faces will shine [with happiness] and some faces will be dark [with grief]. And as for those with faces darkened, [they shall be told:] "Did you deny the truth after having attained to faith? Taste, then, this suffering for having denied the truth!" 106 But as for those whose faces will turn white, [they will be] within the mercy of Allah. They will abide therein eternally. 107 These are the mes sages of Allah which We recite to you in truth, and Allah desires no wrong to the people of the world. 108 For to God belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and to God do all things return. 109
