The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
