Al-Baqarah 19 of 40
You who believe, seek help through patience and prayer; surely, God is with the steadfast. 153 Do not say that those killed in the Way of Allah are dead, they are alive, although you are unaware. 154 And We will most certainly try you with somewhat of fear and hunger and loss of property and lives and fruits; and give good news to the patient, 155 Who say, when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return":- 156 On such men are the blessings of God and His mercy, for they are indeed on the right path. 157 ۞ Safah and Marwah are the waymarks of Allah. Whoever performs the pilgrimage to the House or the visit, there shall be no guilt on him to circumambulate between both of them. And whoever volunteers good, Allah is Thankful, the Knower. 158 Those who hide the authoritative proofs and the guidance that We have revealed, after it has been made clear for the People of the Book, will be condemned by God and those who have the right to condemn. 159 But from those who repent and mend their ways and make known the truth, I will certainly accept their repentance: I am the Ever Relenting, the Most Merciful. 160 But those who disbelieve, and die disbelieving -- upon them shall rest the curse of God and the angels, and of men altogether, 161 Under it they shall remain forever; their punishment shall not be lightened, nor shall they be granted respite. 162 Your Allah is One Allah; there is no Allah save Him, the Beneficent, the Merciful. 163

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
