We have created the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay 26 and the jinn created We before of fire flaming. 27 And lo! Thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create mortal man out of sounding clay, out of dark slime transmuted; 28 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down making obeisance to him. 29 The angels bowed in homage in a body 30 except Iblis who refused to join with the others in prostration. 31 God asked him, "What is the matter with you, that you are not among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 [Iblis] replied: "It is not for me to prostrate myself before mortal man whom Thou hast created out of sounding clay, out of dark slime transmuted!" 33 [Allah] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled. 34 and will be subjected to condemnation until the Day of Judgment." 35 Satan said, "O my Lord! Grant me respite till the Day of Resurrection." 36 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 37 till the appointed time. 38 He said: My Lord! because Thou hast made life evil to me, I will certainly make (evil) fair-seeming to them on earth, and I will certainly cause them all to deviate 39 Except Thy servants from among them, the devoted ones. 40 Allah said: "Here is the path that leads straight to Me. 41 "Certainly, you shall have no authority over My slaves, except those who follow you of the Ghawin (Mushrikun and those who go astray, criminals, polytheists, and evil-doers, etc.). 42 Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 It has seven gates and each gate is assigned for a certain group of people. 44
