WITH ALL THIS, man [often] says, "What! Once I am dead, shall I again be brought forth alive?" 66 But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing? 67 By your Lord, We will bring them back to life with satan and gather them around hell in large groups. 68 We shall then pick out from every group the one who was most arrogant towards the Most Gracious. 69 and then We shall know well all those most worthy to be cast in Hell. 70 And not one of you but shall pass over it: it is for thy Lord an ordinance decreed. 71 Then, We will save those who were cautious of Us, but the harmdoers shall be left there hobbling on their knees. 72 AS IT IS, whenever Our messages are conveyed to them in all their clarity, those who are bent on denying the truth are wont to say unto those who have attained to faith: "Which of the two kinds of man is in a stronger position and superior as a community?" 73 How many generations of greater prosperity and splendor have We destroyed before them? 74 Say: "Ar-Rahman extends the life of those who are astray until they come to realise what had been promised them was either (physical) affliction or (the terror) of Resurrection. Then will they know who is worse in position, and who is weak in supporters. 75 And God shall increase those who were guided in guidance; and the abiding things, the deeds of righteousness, are better with thy Lord in reward, and better in return 76 Have you seen him who rejected Our signs and said: "Surely I shall continue to be favoured with riches and children." 77 Has he gained knowledge of the Unseen? Or taken a covenant with the Merciful? 78 By no means! We write down what he says, and We will lengthen to him the length of the chastisement 79 All that he speaks of will belong to Us, and he will come into Our presence all alone. 80 They have taken other deities besides God, so that they may be a source of strength for them. 81 By no means! They shall soon deny their worshipping them, and they shall be adversaries to them. 82
