Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 and let him share my task 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 He said: then what happened to the former generations? 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
