The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
