This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), 194 In a clear Arabic language. 195 Surely, it is foretold in the ancient scriptures. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, – 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 none of their luxuries will be able to save them from the torment? 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 it behoves them not, neither are they able. 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
