Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 Warn the men. 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 about the guilty ones: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
