'Ad (people) belied the Messengers. 123 When their brother Hud said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 124 I am a trustworthy Messengers sent to you. 125 Have fear of God and obey me. 126 I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 127 “What! You build a structure on every height, to laugh at the passers-by?” 128 "And do ye get for yourselves fine buildings in the hope of living therein (for ever)? 129 And if ye seize by force, seize ye as tyrants? 130 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 131 Fear Him who has bestowed on you what you know, 132 "Freely has He bestowed on you cattle and sons,- 133 And orchards and springs. 134 Verily I fear for you the torment of a Mighty Day. 135 They said, 'Alike it is to us, whether thou admonishest, or art not one of the admonishers; 136 this is nothing but the habit of the ancients, 137 And we are not going to be punished. 138 So they belied him, so We destroyed them. Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 139 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 140
