The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
