Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 You will be shown hell 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
