The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 161 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 162 "So fear Allah and obey me. 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Lot, thou shalt assuredly be one of the expelled.' 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 and rained down upon them a rain [of destruction]: and dire is such rain upon all who let themselves be warned [to no avail]! 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
