Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
