Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,- 65 Lord of the heavens and earth, and of what between them is, the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.' 66 Say: It is tremendous tidings 67 “You are neglectful of it!” 68 I have no knowledge of the dispute among the angels (concerning their attitude towards Adam). 69 it has only been revealed to me that I am a plain warner." 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 And the angels did obeisance, all of them, 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay." 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense." 78 He (satan) replied: 'Respite me my Lord till the Day of Resurrection' 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 Till the period of the time made known. 81 [Whereupon Iblis] said: "Then [I swear] by Thy very might: I shall most certainly beguile them all into grievous error 82 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 83 Allah said: the truth is, and it is the truth that I speak 84 Most certainly will I fill hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together!" 85 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'For this I ask of you no wage, and I am not of those who take things upon themselves. 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
