The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)! 1 Arise and deliver thy warning! 2 and magnify the glory of your Lord, 3 thy robes purify 4 And keep away from Ar-Rujz (the idols)! 5 Do not bestow favours in expectation of return, 6 be patient unto your Lord. 7 And [warn all men that] when the trumpet-call [of resurrection] is sounded, 8 It will be a day of distress, 9 not of ease, for all who [now] deny the truth! 10 Leave Me alone [to deal] with him whom I have created alone, 11 and to whom I have granted resources in abundance, 12 and sons that stand in witness. 13 and to whose life I gave so wide a scope: 14 and who still desires more. 15 Nay! He is forward unto Our signs; 16 I shall inflict on him hardship, 17 He reflected, and then determined 18 So accursed be he, how evilly did he decide! 19 Then may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated. 20 Then he looked round; 21 Then frowned he and scowled. 22 then turned back, and swelling-up with pride, 23 And said, “This is nothing but magic learnt from earlier men.” 24 This is not but the word of a human being." 25 I will cast him into the fire of Hell. 26 - Ah, what will convey unto thee what that burning is! - 27 Naught doth it permit to endure, and naught doth it leave alone!- 28 it scorches the skin; 29 Above it are nineteen. 30 And We have not made the keepers of the Fire except angels. And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve - that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt and that those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus does Allah leave astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to humanity. 31
