And when Ibrahim said to his father and his people, “I have no relation whatsoever with your deities.” 26 "Except Him (i.e. I worship none but Allah Alone) Who did create me, and verily, He will guide me." 27 and he left these words to endure among his descendants, so that they might return [to God]. 28 Nay, but I let these and their fathers enjoy life (only) till there should come unto them the Truth and a messenger making plain. 29 And when the Truth came to them they said: “This is just sorcery and we reject it.” 30 Then they said, "Why this Quran had not been revealed to a man from either of the two great towns". 31 Are they the ones who dispense the favour of your Lord? It is He who apportions the means of livelihood among them in this world, and raises some in position over the others to make some others submissive. The favours of your Lord are better than what they amass. 32 And were it not that all mankind would have become of one community (all disbelievers, desiring worldly life only), We would have provided for those who disbelieve in the Most Beneficent (Allah), silver roofs for their houses, and elevators (and stair-ways, etc. of silver) whereby they ascend, 33 and (silver) doors to their houses, and couches (of silver) upon which they would recline; 34 And ornaments of gold. Yet all that would have been but a provision of the life of the world. And the Hereafter with your Lord would have been for those who keep from evil. 35
