▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew – 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Then how is it that when the (dying) breath is withdrawn into the throat (and rattles), 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 If he is among the near 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 There will be the salutation by those of the right hand: "Peace on you. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 he will be welcomed with boiling water. 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
