Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 when his legs are brought together [when affliction is combined with affliction]; 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
