Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for an appointed time? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
