He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting). 2 How could you know? Perhaps he would cleanse himself, 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 As for he who is sufficed 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 though it is not thy concern, if he does not cleanse himself. 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), 9 You neglect. 10 NAY, VERILY, these [messages] are but a reminder: 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 It is set down on honoured pages, 13 uplifted, purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 From what thing doth He create him? 18 He created him from a living germ. He determined his fate 19 Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) 20 Then He causes him to die, and puts him in his grave; 21 Then He will raise him up again when He please. 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 Let man, then, consider [the sources of] his food: 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 And We made corn grow, 27 and vines and edible plants, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 Orchards thick with trees, 30 And fruits and Abba (herbage, etc.), 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 On that day man will run away from his brother. 34 his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his sons: 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 Many faces will that day be bright, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 Darkness will cover them, 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
