The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
