Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
