Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
