The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
The (unprecedented) crash! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 And what will make you know what the striking (Hour) is? 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 And mountains will be like flying wool. 5 Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy, 6 will have a most pleasing life. 7 But he whose deeds are lighter in the balance 8 His abode shall be the abyss. 9 And what could make thee conceive what that [abyss] will be? 10 A fire hotly burning! 11
