AND, [likewise,] indeed, the people of Al-Hijr gave the lie to [Our] message-bearers: 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 even as We had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments; 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 About all what they used to do. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 But glorify your Lord with His praise, and prostrate yourself: 98 And worship thy Lord until there cometh unto thee the certainty. 99
