Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the Wise Qur'an, 2 you are truly among the Messengers, 3 on a straight path, 4 A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful, 5 so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, and so were heedless. 6 Assuredly the word hath been justified against most of them, wherefore they shall not believe. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that their heads are forced up (and they cannot see). 8 And We have put a barrier before them, and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up, so that they cannot see. 9 Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not, it is alike for them, for they believe not. 10 Thou canst [truly] warn only him who is willing to take the reminder to heart, and who stands in awe of the Most Gracious although He is beyond the reach of human perception: unto such, then, give the glad tiding of [God's] forgiveness and of a most excellent reward! 11 Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register. 12
