The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 But if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge], he shall be pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
