Those who deny the truth will be told, "God's abhorrence of you is greater than your hatred of yourselves. You were called to the faith but you denied it." 10 They shall say, 'Our Lord, Thou hast caused us to die two deaths and Thou hast given us twice to live; now we confess our sins. Is there any way to go forth?' 11 That is because when Allah alone was called upon, you disbelieved, and when associates were given to Him, you believed; so judgment belongs to Allah, the High, the Great. 12 He it is Who showeth you his Signs, and sendeth down sustenance for you from the sky: but only those receive admonition who turn (to Allah). 13 Invoke, then, God, sincere in your faith in Him alone, however hateful this may be to those who deny the truth! 14 Bestower of High Ranks, Owner of the Throne; it is He Who instils the spirit of faith into the one He wills among His bondmen, in order that he may warn of the Day of Meeting. – 15 The day when they come forth, nothing of them being hidden from Allah. Whose is the Sovereignty this day? It is Allah's, the One, the Almighty. 16 Each soul will be recompensed that Day for what it had earned. There will be no depriving on that Day. Surely God is swift at reckoning. 17 Wherefore warn them thou of the Day of portending, whereon the hearts will be in the throats, choking: then will be for the wrong-doers no ardent friend nor an intercessor to be given heed to. 18 God knows the disloyalty of the eyes and what the hearts conceal. 19 And Allah renders the true judgement; and those whom they worship instead of Him do not judge at all; indeed Allah only, is the All Hearing, the All Seeing. 20
