Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
