Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 while you make merry? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
