Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon darkens 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
