He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity, 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 As for he who thinks himself without need, 5 Unto him thou attendest. 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 And he who comes to thee eagerly 8 and fearfully, 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 These verses are a reminder 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels, 15 Noble and pious. 16 Perish the human! How unthankful he is! 17 [Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him? 18 Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure, 19 then eased his path for him, 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Let man reflect on the food he eats. 24 how We pour down rain in abundance, 25 And We split the earth in clefts, 26 and therein made the grains to grow 27 And grapes and herbage 28 and olives and palms, 29 and burgeoning enclosed gardens 30 and fruits and fodder 31 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 it will be such a day when a person will run away from his brother, 34 his mother and his father, 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 Some faces will shine, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 And other faces, on that day, with dust upon them, 40 Darkness will cover them, 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Click or tap on "random" to go to any random page. Click or tap the triangle to the left of "random" to go to a random page before the current page, or the triangle to the right to go to a random page after the current page. Using these features of ColorfulQuran.com, you can use the right triangle or arrowhead to skim through the entire Holy Book from the first Surah, The Key (Al-Fatihah), to the last, The People (An-Nas), in a few minutes while stopping at random pages in between. This will make your readings cluster more on Juz Amma's short surahs at the end of the Quran. You can also do the same in reverse order using the left triangle or arrowhead, which will cluster your readings more at the beginning of the Holy Quran.
