The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the piercing star - 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
