Aaron had already, before this said to them: "O my people! ye are being tested in this: for verily your Lord is (Allah) Most Gracious; so follow me and obey my command." 90 They said: We will by no means cease to keep to its worship until Musa returns to us. 91 But (Moses) said: "O Aaron, when you saw that they had gone astray, what hindered you 92 Did you disobey my orders?" 93 'Son of my mother' he replied, 'Do not seize my beard nor my head. I was afraid that you might say: "You have divided the Children of Israel and did not uphold my word." 94 He said: What was then your object, O Samiri? 95 He replied: "I saw what they saw not: so I took a handful (of dust) from the footprint of the Messenger, and threw it (into the calf): thus did my soul suggest to me." 96 Said [Moses]; "Begone, then! And behold, it shall be thy lot to say throughout [thy] life, 'Touch me not! But, verily, [in the life to come] thou shalt be faced with a destiny from which there will be no escape! And [now] look at this deity of thine to whose worship thou hast become so devoted: we shall most certainly burn it, and then scatter [whatever remains of] it far and wide over the sea! 97 Your God is only One, Allah. There is no god, except He, alone. His knowledge encompasses all things. 98 Thus We recount unto thee some tidings of that which hath preceded; and surely We have vouchsafed unto thee from before Us an admonition. 99 Whoever turns away from it (this Quran i.e. does not believe in it, nor acts on its orders), verily, they will bear a heavy burden (of sins) on the Day of Resurrection, 100 They will abide in this (state): and grievous will the burden be to them on that Day,- 101 The Day the Horn will be blown. And We will gather the criminals, that Day, blue-eyed. 102 They shall consult together secretly: You did tarry but ten (centuries). 103 We know best what they say. The moderate ones among them will say, "You did not live on earth for more than a day." 104

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
