And indeed the Noble Messengers came to the people of Firaun. 41 Who denied Our revelations, every one. Therefore We grasped them with the grasp of the Mighty, the Powerful. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or do they say: We are a host allied together to help each other? 44 Soon shall the hosts be routed, and they shall turn (their) backs. 45 In fact their promise is upon the Last Day – and the Last Day is very severe and very bitter! 46 Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness. 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. 49 And Our Commandment is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you in the past: So is there any one who will be warned? 51 All their deeds are recorded in the Scrolls; 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 The pious ones will live in Paradise wherein streams flow, 54 In a good seat, near a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
