The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
