Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the glorious morning light; 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
