The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 in columns outstretched. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
