The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
